"First Class medical service"

About: Darent Valley Hospital

Thank you does not come close to how I feel , following the recent addmission of my son to Darenth Valley . It is traumatic for any parent to bring their son or daughter to hospital for any medical condition , but when that condition is a stroke at the age of 23 it can be terrifying . My son was treated with the utmost importance and his every need attended to . from A&E to Oak ward and then to Spruce . your staff we're all amazing . Thank you to the doctors but a particular thanks to two Drs for whom my son will never forget both went that extra mile taking the time to explain in detail every inch of his condition their ability to communicate with both patient and distressed parent should be commended. Please pass on our thanks to them both . Kind regards Jayne

Response from Darent Valley Hospital

Wow, "First Class Medical Service" what a wonderful compliment and thank you for taking the time to saying so. As you have mentioned bringing anybody into hospital can be traumatic but experiencing your child aged just 23 having a stroke must have been very shocking and frightening for you all. It is always lovely when people say our staff are amazing as we totally agree! Those involved in your sons care have been informed of your very kind words and we do hope that he is recovering as well as expected. With best wishes The Communication Team Darent Valley Hospital
