"A and E and MAU"

About: Tameside General Hospital

I was sent to A and E by On Call Dr, with severe stomach pains. I was seen by the Triage Nurse within 20 minutes and this started the ball rolling, the nurses and the 2 doctors were very thorough and admitted me. I was taken to MAU where I was greeted by the Nurse on Duty and the Auxiliaries, I cannot praise them enough, they were brilliant and professional, more than can be said for the Doctors, I was scheduled for a CT scan ordered by one Dr, prodded and poked by 4 Drs in total, only to be told after being Nil by Mouth that another Dr cancelled my scan, a woman Dr tortured me trying to take blood. I had to spend a sleepless night in MAU but in the morning the auxiliaties were on my case, she got the Dr to sort out the scan, that the woman Dr forgot to book!!! Once I'd had my scan she kept checking for my results, she then chased up the Dr to come and tell me what was wrong with me. I hope that should I ever have to go in Tameside again that they're there to care for me. Just change the Doctors!!! Thank you girls, you're amazing x the porters were great too ;-). x
