"Pleased with care, not so much with catering"

About: Princess Anne Hospital

I was recently admitted to Bramshaw Ward for a 3 night stay. The staff were lovely and I felt very well cared for. I was in a room with 4 beds so there wasn't too much disturbance at night. Protected meal times from visitors meant it was peaceful. I have complained about the catering service though - I was forgotten about one meal time, I was given an unwashed spoon and my dietary requirements based on my medical condition were ignored. As the meals are bought in pre-prepared, there is little flexibility in substituting parts of the meal for more suitable alternatives.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback on Bramshaw ward. I was pleased to hear your positive comments and kind words about the staff. I am sorry that there were some issues with the catering and provision of appropriate diet for you during your stay. I will forward all your comments to the Matron of this area to pass on to the ward staff and action as appropriate.
