"PCI & treatment following a heart attack"

May I take this opportunity to thank the cardiology team and especially the consultants for their most professional intervention and nursing care following my recent heart attack. The entire process from admission through to PCI and aftercare is a tribute to the established high level of cardiology at Southampton General. The nurses conducted their duties deftly and always with humour. I felt that I was being welcomed into an extended family.The lead nurse in my discharge ward, also carried out her duties with humour and professionalism. But finally, the skill of my Consultant in performing the PCI and his thoughtfulness in providing me a copy of the 'before and after' angioplasty image leaves me deeply indebted to the NHS and especially to your fine and efficiently managed hospital.
