What could be improved

I am writing this on behalf of my wife who was admitted to Ward 13 with severe groin pain.

My wife spent 5 days in in total in Ward 13. She was given morphine for her pain amongst other drugs. The following Wednesday my wife went to theatre in order for further investigation to be carried out. This surgery could not find a cause of my wifes severe pain. When my wife came round from her procedure she was taken back to the ward. The next day my wife was discharged from hospital in more pain than she was in when she was admitted with no answers as what is causing her pain. When told she was being released from hospital my wife asked the doctor the reason why and asked him for an explanation. This Doctor was very rude and even shouted at her which I find completely unacceptable. She was then reffered to a "Pain Clinic" who when spoke to me wife admitted that she was not the sort of patient they would normally treat. My wife has been told that she will now have to be on stong pain killers which don't take away the pain, for around 6 weeks until she can be seen be a clinic.

I find this whole saga appauling and I can't believe that an NHS trust could treat someone this way.

I feel that improvements could be made in the way doctor's talk to patients and not get angry or rude when asked questions or challenged.

To actually find out what is wrong with a patient and treat it before discharging them. This is not meant to be offensive in anyway and I am not a trouble causer, I'm just a worried and angry husband who feels let down by Airedale Hostipal.
