"A&E night shift team"

About: Friarage Hospital Site

I want to thank the A&E night shift team, Fri/Sat, 27/08 June, between 11pm and 3:30 am. I came in with a strong chest pain. I’ve never experienced anything like this so I was very nervous and didn’t know what to expect. But the team was so professional, I was taken care of quickly and with care. I felt that I’m in good hands. I want to thanks the nurses and the doctor. I want to thank another doctor (whose name unfortunately I didn’t hear, sorry), who was the first doctor who finally explained to me what is causing my condition. His advice works. You have no idea how happy I am to finally feeling an improvement. Thank you so much. I am very grateful to all. I hope those nurses and doctors will receive this message. Thank you.

Good morning Thank you for your feedback regarding your visit to the Accident & Emergency Department at the Friarage Hospital, Northallerton on 27/28 June 2014. I am pleased to learn your experience was a positive one and that staff were able to provide you with advice with regards to your condition. I shall certainly forward you comments to the staff involved in your care and treatment and I am sure they will be very pleased to read them. It may interest you to know the trust runs a ‘Thank You Award’ scheme where NHS colleagues, patients and relatives can nominate staff in recognition of their work. These are presented throughout the year for acts above the call of duty or where staff have shown exceptional kindness towards patients and their relatives. Please contact the chairman’s office on 01642 854151 or email deborah.jenkins@stees.nhs.uk, should you wish to pursue this. Many thanks again for your kind words. With best wishes Mrs Linda Oliver Patient Experience Co-ordinator
