"Renal unit outpatients"

About: St James's University Hospital

Generally speaking i'm extremely pleased with my treatment. There is however one sister on renal unit outpatients who quite obviously has taken a dislike to me. I have absolutely no idea why, but yesterday she spoke down to me and did her best to embarrass me in front of other patients and a member of staff. It upsets me that for no apparent reason she seems to have taken this stance with me. I find most other staff to be generally friendly and helpful.

Dear Tony I am sorry you were upset and embarrassed by the actions and attitude of one of our staff. This is not the kind of behaviour that we accept from staff. I have sent your comments to the Matron for Hepatorenal so that she can look into the concerns that you have raised. If you would like to discuss this issue further please contact the Trust’s Patient Advice and Liaison Service (PALS) on 0113 2067168 or email patient.relations@leedsth.nhs.uk Thank you for taking the time to write to us.
