I have not been provided with the communication I need as a deaf sign language user. No one is asking my consent to treat me and I have no details about why I am in hospital and what my illness is.
I feel very frightened about this.
I know that my visitors have informed the ward staff that I require a sign language interpreter and visual aids to communicate but nothing has been provided. The doctors cannot ask me how I am feeling, I cannot tell the doctor what I am feeling.
There should be a Communication Folder on every ward but no one has used this.
