"Awful!"

About: Darlington Memorial Hospital

Took my 6month old daughter to A&E as she had a very bad cough and would refuse any liquids, I sat for 4 hours in A&E waiting for a doctor as I sat in the waiting room another lady showed up with her baby with exact same symptoms as my daughter and was seen within 15 minutes. After waiting 4 hours we were sent to Ward 21 the staff were lovely and said yes its a very bad viral infection we will check her urine. After sitting another 4 hours we were told because she hasn't had a wee that we could go home and bring a sample in the morning before 10am and gave me a number for the direct line to ward 21 if things were not improving. 2 days later I call ward 21 saying the cough is worse she is very fussy refusing milk, water and not weeing enough so the nurse tells me 'What would you like me to do?' Erm... your job?!? Also she said 'If I can't see her then there is nothing I can do you will have to take her to your GP tomorrow and also try syringe some water into her mouth' This hospital is the worst!
