"Breast cancer"

About: Tameside General Hospital / Breast surgery

(as the patient),

Found a lump, went to GP May 14, GP referred to Mr Arora's one stop clinic. Got an appointment one week later May 14. Had examination by consultant, mammogram, ultra sound scan, fine needle aspiration, core biopsy. Got results same day. Unfortunately it was breast cancer, I was given the options and settled for wide excision lumpectomy and sentinel lymph node surgery. Surgery was in early June 14 as a day case. Everyone I came into contact with was absolutely brilliant I could wish for better care!

Thank you for sharing these positive comments, We have passed these positive comments onto Mr Arora and his breast care team, which I am sure will give them such a moral boost to know all their hard work and good service they provide for the Trust is working.

Thank you again.

Director of Nursing

Update posted by Elliemae12 (the patient)

I want to shout about my care from the rooftops, because TGH gets such a bad press but they have saved my life (literally) on more than one occasion.

I would also like Dr Tahir, Becca and Carmela from the scanning dept to be thanked because they were fabulous. Thank you.
