"Thanks to Locala community Dental Department Batley"

About: Locala Community Partnerships CIC / Dental services

(as a parent/guardian),

My 2 year old son was referred to this service from our family dentist for some teeth taking out. As you can understand, we were shocked that he needed teeth out at this age. The dental team at Batley were very understanding with us and tried to put our mind at ease. He was to have 10 teeth out. Our appointment was made for 4 weeks time to go to Dewsbury Hospital in the Boothroyd department.

When we got there we were amongst others who were also there for the same treatment. The Dentist, the Doctor and all the nurses there were so lovely to me and my wife and the information talk we were given afterwards went above and beyond our expectations. We were given advice about foods and drinks with sugars in that we never even knew about. Hopefully we can now avoid these in our sons diet and look after his other teeth. We would just like to say thank you to all the staff for looking after our son, and for the aftercare that we received.

Hi Earth dad

Many thanks for posting on Patient Opinion

Having been through the same experience myself I fully understand the feeling of shock especially when they are so young. I will share your post with the team, it’s great to receive such positive comments, I know they work really hard at delivery of the service. Thanks once again for posting.

Louise Thornton
