"I am glad to be a Kings patient"

About: King's College Hospital (Denmark Hill) / Diabetic medicine

(as the patient),

I had to make numerous unsuccessful attempts to gain ongoing inpatient chiropody care both at Lewisham and Kings due to missed appointments at Bermondsey Chiropody Service due to my patient hospital admissions as a cardiac patient.

These were emergency admissions I could not plan my chiropody outpatient care around. I have 3 diabetic ulcers on my left and right toes. Nurses who merely offer to replace dressings are not offering successful chiropody care.

Using grip socks on dirty floors, particularly on urine soaked bathroom floor around the toilet seat is not satisfactory for diabetics with ulcers on their feet, irrespective of whether the ulcers are open wounds or not.

I have been grateful for the tests and treatment I have received to treat my cardiac and lung disease with conspicuously more interest and dedication than I have received elsewhere.

I am glad to be a Kings patient.

Thank you.
