I attended the hospital on 26 june for an AVNRT ablation. The treatment was first class. All the staff were really friendly and made me feel at ease. A Doctor came to chat with me before the procedure to make sure I understood what was going to happen and to make sure I was feeling ok which I thought was good. The procedure its self went very well and I didn't feel any pain, I felt the catheters go in when they were near my back which was strange but not painful. I was given 3 lots of sedation but I was still wide awake. I had a tachycardia episode afterwards to I need to wear a monitor in a few weeks time to check the problem has gone, but the doctor has said it was a successful ablation :) Since having the procedure I have had quite a few episodes of tachycardia and I have some chest pain along with dizziness. The groin site was painful but is now fine, just bruised. I would tell people not to worry about having this done it was pain free and you're in good hands. Thanks to all the staff on f2 and those involved in the procedure.
"brilliant treatment"
