"Disgusting attitudes of booking in staff."

About: Northern General Hospital

at around 12pm my two sisters and I attended A&E. In the second of walking in we were shouted at by the first polite member of staff to stand behind the blue line.. Would have in the first place had it been clear enough. the real issue was the staff on the right hand side. As my sister (the one in pain) decided to go to the toilet her next of kin, my eldest sister asked to book her in as she wasn't in pain and could speak, she knew everything possible that the staff may ask. She refused to see us by promptly interrupting to say "it doesn't look like your injured I need to see the patient to arrive her in." My sister explained her pain and that she was next of kin and she replied "fabulous but I'm not booking her in without her sat here." After waiting an hour to see someone three strangers attended all just "friends" the girl that had obviously been on drugs shouting for her mother not to find out went to take a seat. Her "friend" booked her in. She had to run back and forth to get information but I as a family member or next of kin cannot book my sister in. As I quite loudly expressed that it was one rule for another and asked for the explanation the woman turned her microphone off said something too her colleague and then switched it back on replying "I'm not going to argue with you." By this point we wernt in any mood to wait the next 2 hours to be seen, I took her to my work in the morning and she was promptly seen too. My eldest sister works at the children's hospital she quite clearly knows the rules your staff have to take, to act awkward, unhelpful, rude and ignorant is not required. wouldn't attend there again if my leg was hanging off by a thread.
