I called the 111 service as I had a slight problem but it did not warrant an emergency ambulance. The operator went through my symptoms and suggested I go to the Eastbourne General Hospital to be seen by a doctor in the outpatients department.
Everyone was very friendly and helpful, they made sure both they and I had plenty of contact numbers as mobile reception can be very poor in some areas so alternative numbers could be used if needed.
