"cleaners."

About: Furness General Hospital

Upon visiting a relative, I noticed the bed cover was on the floor. I picked it up and was appalled to see fluffy dust on it. Goodness knows when the floors were last clean. What is the point on big signs all over about cleaning hands when the floor is filthy. Unfortunately a similar incident happened when my mother was in hospital six years ago. This time there was a filthy book on the floor at the back of her bed, the pages were turning yellow. The matter of clean floors does not seem to be dealt with. Anonymous.

We are really sorry that your family’s experience at our hospital wasn’t what you would expect and are very keen to investigate this issue. In order to do this we need to establish where this took place so we can both respond directly to you and take action to stop a recurrence. Please would you contact our Patient Relations team on 01539 795497 to allow us to carry out that work.
