"I had a breakdown"

About: Halton General Hospital

(as the patient),

I had a breakdown at 20 years of age. My mental state was less than terrible. I struggled to cope with my surrounding and the way my life was going.

I had no back up from family and very few friends.

This place helped me get my feelings in order. A wise employee told me 'you shouldn't be here, you're not as poorly as most in here, pull yourself together and help yourself'... sounds ruthless but I still remember his wise words 7 yrs later.

I've since moved out the area and fully qualified engineer with my own lovely family. Thank you that man and the rest of the staff (particularly the lady who used to bring me magazines to keep me occupied).
