"outpatients and Hurstwood park"

About: Princess Royal Hospital (Haywards Heath)

I have attended this hospital many times for outpatients and the HWP MRI facilities. Outpatients: The parking has improved. Outpatients is pretty much what you'd expect. Staff are immune to patient experience so treat people with a fairly dull, mundane way. The appointments themseves are OK. Run for efficiency, rather than patients, so you can wait undressed in a room whilst your consultant goes off and does something else. When reeiving "bad" news, you can guess as you get put in a special area. The MacMillan team were not personally great for me. MRI @ HWP: involved 1.5 hours wait, got called,, told about the wait, went back and waited - TIAs given free access so appointment patients have to wait - which I did. Again, once you access the treatment, it was good, peope/staff were lovely, which as always, most important thing. Take Home msg: People are good, everything else pretty much what you'd expect from an over- loaded hospital. Long waits, average care. Nothing actually bad about the place.
