I transferred to St Marys 2 days after section at Leicester General Hospital. After leaving the over busy, chaotic LGH maternity unit, I was anxious it would be much the same! However, I'm so glad I transferred!
Calm, relaxed and the midwives and all staff, including the housekeeping staff were lovely and friendly and made me feel so at home and relaxed with my new baby. The day room is like your own little dining room at home and allows you to socialise with the other mothers in the unit and the breast feeding care at St Marys is exceptional!
Anyone considering breastfeeding their baby should transfer here if not having had the pleasure of birthing here. Fabulous staff, fabulous food, fabulous support and a fabulous start to life with a new baby! So different from the big hospitals.
Thank you to all at St Marys!
