I brought my mother in law for an eye appointment. All staff were friendly and professional. It was a busy clinic so we had a bit of a wait, but that wasn't really a problem. My concern is parking, I do have some difficulty walking and am in the process of getting a blue badge. There were no parking spaces near OPD or on the car park above. I dropped my 84yr old mother in law off at the door and carried on the perimeter road. I was lucky to find a space on the west car park. You know how far OPD is from the west car park! It was very difficult for me to walk all the way and of course, all the way back after the appointment. Please advise me what I can do in this situation? Is there any transport available from the west car par round to OPD? It really was at the very limit of the distance I can walk and as my mobility is deteriorating it may cause a problem in the future. A blue badge would have made no difference as all the spaces were taken.
