Dear Mr Browell, I do hope you are recovering well from surgery.Thank you very much for sharing your experience of the care you received at North Tyneside. I have to say I love your strapline ' When care is this good why pay for private healthcare '. Your description of the quality of our care makes me feel very proud to be part of the NHS and of our staff in particular. It means a lot to get your feedback on our processes too and in particular for ways in which our paperwork can be streamlined. Interestingly, we had just agreed to look at this at a ward level so if you have any interest in offering us any further advice, with the expertise you have, we'd love to hear from you. The NHS is being encouraged at all times to 'think like a patient but act like a tax payer' and whilst our first commitment is always to patients and the quality of their care, at Northumbria we also take our responsibility for the public purse very seriously indeed.
