"Rheumatology at SMH"

About: Stoke Mandeville Hospital / Rheumatology

(as the patient),

No one answers the phone. My appointments get changed numerous times before I get there. The doctor looks exhausted and is exhausted. The waiting room is depressing. I know I am in a completely overloaded clinic and so try to be a succinct as I can be, but I never get to say how I really feel. I know there are tight constraints on what scans and tests can be offered so I know I am not getting the right thorough monitoring. Infact need to be monitored more, but I am in a highly fragmented dysfunctional system with no joined up thinking. And Im not elderly or frail. I cannot imagine how those people feel.
