"Second baby completely different experience!"

After the traumatic birth of my son at Princess Anne in 2010, I was hugely anxious throughout the whole of my pregnancy. After some very effective counselling and CBT I went from wanting a c section to being desperate for a natural birth at NFBC. After a few false starts, the staff were so incredibly patient bag kind to me, I finally went in to have my daughter. The midwife had the pool ready and at 4am we had little tea lights round it. It was so calm and relaxed. My labour progressed quickly and the midwife was excellent. She knew of my anxiety and was so patient and relaxed. We delivered our daughter in 3.5 hours into the pool. I still can't believe I did it!! Being able to have a shower after stitches, to walk around and be mobile was a revelation. I had visitors that afternoon and evening who were made to feel welcome. My husband stayed for lunch and we could be together. The midwives and msw's were fabulous in helping to establish feeding and making sure I was ok. I rave about NFBC to my friends. I couldn't think of anywhere better to bring a new life into the world.
