"Dreadful hospital, terrible staff, rude and..."

About: The Royal London Hospital

Had an appointment at the audiology department for my young daughter, who was anxious about having her appointment in the first place, when I arrived at the reception, I was made to feel like an annoyance, as I was disrupting their conversation about the latest fashion trends! Once They registered me I was kept waiting for over 2 hours until eventually I asked someone how long it would take, to which the answer was everyone had gone home. I was devastated as no one had told me this before they had left. The receptionists left without seeing to me or telling me anything, while I was waiting all they were doing was chatting amongst each other and practicing their make up. I now have to go through the headache of this all over again.

We are very sorry to hear of your experience whilst visiting our audiology department. Unfortunately, the audiology department does not have a dedicated receptionist in that area and there appears to have been some miscommunication between the reception staff and the audiologist who was working that day. We are working on improving this situation with a dedicated receptionist for the audiology department and will endeavour to improve communications with the receptionists to ensure that this does not happen again. Kind regards Barts Health
