I have never experienced anything worse that organisation and disrespect in St. Peters hospital.
I had my first meeting with consultant on in May with regards c-section. This appointment was completely misunderstanding - at the beginning consultant made racist comment about doctors from my country of origin, but then requested all documents regarding my previous treatment in my country of origin to be provided within 4 weeks with complete translation to English.
The doctor also requested urgent visit with specialist to double check if my doctor was telling the truth. I have complained about this behavior and I was assigned to another consultant who was more polite. We have agreed to meet in another 4 weeks time, and when I arrived on scheduled date I was advised consultant is not going to show up. What is the most ironic is the fact that a week before I had an automated call to confirm I will attend this appointment so consultant will not waste their precious time, and then I had to wait nearly an hour to be given the message the consultant is not there! What about my time then? Apparently is not important to consultant or hospital staff.
Additionally, urgent visit with specialist I was referred to will take place soon, that means nearly two months from referral.
It does not seem URGENT treatment at all! Nevertheless, I have refused further treatment to be provided by St. Peter’s Hospital in Chertsey and left. This situation is disappointing, ridiculous and pathetic. I am not sure if this is because I have a different than British background or everybody is treated like that in this hospital, but I would like them to be reminded that, despite their own believes, I am also human being and I deserve a bit of respect!
