"Shambles"

About: St Thomas' Hospital (London)

Went in to the urgent care centre and after a wait to even get booked in, was told there was a 3 hour wait to be seen. I explained I had a meeting to attend, so it was suggested that they hold on to my files and I come back in 3 hours and jump the queue. I returned 2.5 hours later and was told to sit and someone would be with me. Almost an hour later I asked the situation and they said I'd been discharged, they didn't know I was sat there waiting and would have to book in again. After waiting to book back in for almost 30 minutes I chose to leave, untreated. And due to my schedule, I now have to remain untreated for at least 2 more days. Poor waiting times, poor service, poor communication both internally and with patients. So no, I wouldn't recommend them.

I am sorry to learn that poor communication between staff led to your having such a negative experience at the Urgent Care Centre. Your feedback has been shared with the centre manager, who will discuss the issues you have raised with his teams. They will aim to understand what went wrong so that they can prevent it from happening in the future. Thank you for taking the time to give us your feedback.
