"Care under the doctor and the eye unit"

I was a patient under the care of the doctor and his team in the eye unit. The care was second to none. From my first appointment at the eye unit, through the pre-operative assessment to the day of the operation the care was first class, I was treated like an individual and not a number, this I appreciated very much. I worked in the NHS as a nurse then a midwife for just under 48 years. Treating the patient as an individual was very important to me and this I tried to do at all times.
