About: Tameside General Hospital / Gynaecology

(as the patient),

On the 19/11/08 I was admitted to ward 12 under the care of Mr Watson for a hysterectomy. The operation was done on the 20th, however I developed internal bleeding and was rushed back to theatre on the 22/11/08. Following this surgery I was admitted to the ITU for a 24 hour period.

I would like to extend my most sincere and heartfelt thanks to Alison, Louise, Michelle and the rest of the nursing staff on ward 12. Tracey and Trish in ITU, and all the doctors/ surgeons and nurses in theatre.

I am fully aware that things could well have turned out so different, and myself, my husband and two young children will never forget everything that you all did. I will be forever in your debt.... Thank You

Thank you very much for submitting these comments. Whilst I was sorry to hear that there were complications following your surgery, I was pleased to read that the staff at Tameside Hospital responded so well. I do hope you are now much recovered. I will make sure Dr Watson, the staff of ward 12 and ITU and the theatre staff are made aware of your comments. I am sure they will find the positive feedback encouraging and motivating.
