"Terrible service"

About: Fairfield General Hospital

Had appointment for our 3 year old son in childrens' outpatients. Our appointment was at 10.30am. our son was not seen until one hour and a half later. By then he was agitated and upset. When we were finally seen it took an hour so when we came out we knew the people after us would have been two hours late for their appointment and by then the waiting room was full of people turning up for their appointment in for hours and hours of waiting. Nothing seems to have changed in the child development unit. My eldest son was diagnosed with autism there yet every time he went for appointment was waiting for about three house and that was thirteen years ago! It is disgusting that children are treated like this especially as these are children who often have special needs or are potentially children with special needs awaiting diagnosis as by the time they are seen are usually very stressed and agitated.
