"Lincoln county A&E waiting area"

About: Lincoln County Hospital / Accident and emergency

(as a friend),

I agree totally with another patient story on here. The booking in system in A&E is impossible for some one who is in pain. My friend could not stand at the reception desk due to pain, so I had to book him in, whilst also trying to keep an eye on him! He was in extreme pain. I returned to the desk several times to say how worried I was.

Eventually after at least 40 very distressing minutes someone took pity on us and got us in. Fair enough if it's busy people have to wait, but surely there must be a system in place for monitoring patients in the waiting area to see how ill they are? Once inside then the staff were great, it's the waiting area that leaves a lot to be desired.

Hi

Thank you for leaving your feedback. We sincerely apologise for the delay in the booking in system process. We have just implemented a new computer system across all of the hospitals and have been experiencing some teething issue with the introduction of this new PAS system and apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused.

I have spoke to Matron within A&E and she has asked if you could contact with them as she would like to gain further details from you to investigate and resolve your concerns. Matron Bell can be contacted via switchboard on 01522 512512.
