"April 2014 surgery"

My stay in the hospital was wonderful. The staff involved in the surgical proceedings took a lot of time to explain and reassure me and I felt able to ask any questions. As I went down to theatre there were a lot of people around to talk and help me on the way. The staff were gentle and very caring. It was all so very efficient and smooth running. Back in Ward 26 it felt as though a nurse was available all the time and I felt very safe and watched over. Everyone took care to make me comfortable and they stayed patient and smiling, which is amazing when people have such long shifts. I can't thank you enough for all your kindness, detailed attention and excellent care, for being there day and night. I was told by the surgeon that lung surgery would be a painful procedure - and it sure was - but you all did everything to make my hospital stay comfortable and enjoyable.
