"Accident and Emergency"

About: Leighton Hospital

In January my Daughter took me to hospital on a Saturday morning with a headache and double vision I'd had the headache for about a week but the double vision only started that morning. The staff where great and I was seen nearly straight away and was taken through to the unit to wait to be seen it took a while but hey they were busy and I was happy I was going to be seen. I was taken down for an c t scan about 3hrs later but was glad that they believed me as I must have appeared drunk to anyone who didn't know me even though I hadn't had a drink since xmas and then only 1 glass of wine. A short while later they came back and wanted to do another scan this time with a dye then you start to think something is wrong. After this they came to talk to me and told me that they had found a tumour on my pituitary gland two young people having to tell you something like that they were very compassionate and very good I can't thank them enough for there treatment. After more tests at Salford Royal they found that it was not a tumour but a terminal carotid aneurism which sounds worse than it is but I can't thank the staff in A & E enough as without then doing there job properly I would not have been diagnosed. Thank you all once again treatment on going but positive outcome will be achieved with luck and a following wind. Everybody's experience is different but mine was extremely good and would like to thank all the staff very much one more time they are very much under appreciated.
