"My girlfriend had her tonsils ..."

About: Royal Surrey County Hospital

(as a relative),

What could be improved

My girlfriend had her tonsils taken out at the day surgery unit, 3 days later we were back there with her hemorrhaging blood out of her mouth. It turned out that the wound had reopened after some dodgy surgery resulting in her losing around 3 pints of blood and requiring emergency surgery. Now after a week and a half she has been rushed back to hospital for the 3rd time with an infection resulting in her anally bleeding. This is just rediculous. The doctors and nurses were also extremely relunctant to produce any information to myself and her mother who were extremely worried.

Anything else?

The nurses were questionable, one was patrolling the corridors "snorting" up phelm and spitting it out in the sink, and constantly coughing. The A&E nurses tried to force my girlfriend to ingest a drug without any patients which resulted in her being to seriously hemorrhage blood. The doctors were indecisive. patricularly the ENT doctor. Both the bed ward and the day surgery ward was dirty. The NHS should be ashamed of themselves.
