I attended A&E at approximately 8am on a Thursday morning - I was dealt with quickly and efficiently, being triaged within 5 minutes. I was promptly reviewed by a doctor because I needed analgesics. I was sent for an x-ray which was reviewed by a senior doctor who came to discuss the results with me,provided with crutches, given a prescription for analgesia and had an appointment made for the fracture clinic the next morning. The only negative was where the outpatient pharmacy had been moved to. It was either down two flights of concrete outdoor stairs or down a huge blue ramp which would have meant a longer walk struggling on newly acquired crutches. The pharmacy staff greeted me by telling me that I'd had to go back to A&E because one of the drugs hadn't been prescribed properly, despite the fact that they had just seen me struggling in on my crutches, and obviously in pain.
