I have been reffered to gynae from my GP to see if any more investigations can be carried out as I have been experiencing chronic pelvic pain, my Gp even made suggestions at what could be done next. The consultant I saw was uncaring, uncompassionate and un welcoming. I was barely spoken to whilst being examined which was uncomfortable for me and felt like nothing was explained to me. I was reduced to tears as I tried to explain how much pain I am in every day and the consultant had no sympathy or compassion for me. I was offered no explanation for the pain or ways to deal with it or even suggest what could be causing it. I was treated like I was a nuisance and spoke down to. The consultants attitude was disgraceful , they seemed like they really did not want to be at work. Have been sent away with no explanation for my pain which is ruining many aspects of my life and I am back to square one. Felt upset and shaken up after my consultation. I underwent a laparoscopy the previous year. The anaesthetist , surgeon and surgical team were absolutely lovely I could not fault them at all. But after my operation, I was told to get out of the bed not long after waking up and to sit upright in a chair in so much pain I nearly fainted. I was told to just to sit up straight and that they could not offer me any more painkillers other than ibuprofen. I felt sick and faint whilst getting dressed and wanted to get out of their asap so my partner could pick me up from the hospital. I don't feel I would return for any sort of treatment and would rather go elsewhere.
