Have attended the orthopaedic clinic on a number of occasions and have now been discharged despite needing a further operation as apparently the operating table wouldn't hold my weight?!? I've had two major surgeries previously at the royal Liverpool hospital and this was never an issue, have been advised other hospitals would do the operation but not given any further info on this. Am assuming this is part of the "lifestyle rationing" culture being pushed by the current government, and it's a slippery slope once you start to discriminate and not treat certain patients because where do you draw the line, do you then stop chemo treatments for patients who have smoked? The nhs is paid for by everyone and should be accessible to all regardless of size! Did try and make a complaint but got the answering machine.. Enough said really!
