At 22 weeks pregnant I was reffered by my GP to the ENT clinic at Royal Preston hospital due to experiencing some nasal congestion and very unpleasant nosebleeds, as you can imagine these we're particularly unwelcome problems during what should be a pleasant time. I was seen promptly in ENT by very professional staff who I found to be informative and extremely knowledgable, they put my mind at ease and took into consideration my concerns regarding my baby. The decision was made to undergo an operation whilst I was pregnant as my hormones had caused a large growth to develop in my nose, which was getting particularly unpleasant, uncomfortable & causing problems with my breathing. Everything was explained to me thoroughly by my consultant and I was booked in for my operation very quickly, although this potentially could of all been quite worrying, I had few concerns and felt I was in very capable hands. The operation was carried out smoothly, I am now 26 weeks pregnant and feel so much better and have no further cause for concern, my follow up appointments have shown the operation was a success and I am enjoying the rest of my pregnancy. I have to thank the consultant and all his team for the treatment I received, in particular the care they showed towards me, they prevented me from feeling stressed at a time which could of been detrimental towards my unborn baby. I recommend Royal Preston ENT department wholeheartedly, I can't thank them enough.
