After a lifetime of drinking alcohol it reached a point where I became an alcoholic. With this came depression, isolation, loss of self esteem. I was a mess. I thought I could handle it but I was wrong.
With encouragement from my family I approached Ashley House in Widnes. I was accepted on a course of therapy, which lasted for 8 sessions. I was also provided with a course of counselling sessions with Gill, which really helped me find the true me!
The total experience at Ashley House was very rewarding and the staff are second to none especially Maureen, Vashti, Karen, Karen, Dave, Tony, Dom, Gill, Rob and many more.
Here I am 12 months later without a single drink since being discharged. My life now has a purpose I am confident and have regained my self esteem. Gone are the days of deep depression, remorse and a feeling of hopelessness. Many thanks to the team at Ashley House.
