About: North Tyneside General Hospital / Maternity care Wansbeck Hospital / Maternity care

(as the patient),

I had my first baby in October 2013 and was seen regularly at this unit as I developed gestational diabetes.

I had my daughter at Wansbeck Hospital as I was classed as high risk (where again my care was brilliant) but then I went to North Tyneside 2 days later for an extra couple of days and I have got to say everyone there was absolutely fantastic. They were on hand if I needed any advice or assistance with my baby and this helped build my confidence

I cannot praise the midwives and healthcare assistants enough -an absolute credit to the NHS.

Dear Madam, Many congratulations on the birth of your wee girl. Thank you so much for this review - as a Mum of two wee ones I am amazed and grateful that you've found the time ! Sounds like your pregnancy and delivery was far from straight forward - I imagine you must have felt quite worried at times? Lovely to know then that the teams across both our Wansbeck and North Tyneside sites gave you everything you needed to build your confidence and keep you informed . Important too that you found a consistency in the safe and reliable care that was on offer - that matters a great deal to us. We are exceptionally proud of our amazing staff and all they do everyday so thank you for giving us the opportunity to acknowledge their efforts.
