I have private medical insurance but events moved quickly after going to my GP so I stayed with the NHS for blood tests, colonoscopy and ultrasound procedures. The care and treatment I received was truly superb. The staff could not have done more and attention to hygiene was evident everywhere. The procedures were well-organised and undertaken in a professional manner with what looked like "state of the art" equipment. Admittedly, I was only an out-patient but if this standard of care is typical of the PRU then it does beg the question "why go private"? Perhaps I would have a room of my own and a TV but it is difficult to see how the clinical treatment could have been improved upon. So it is 10 out of 10 for staff at the PRU .....and thank you!!
