Several months ago my partner was admitted to hospital, to begin with she was on a mixed ward. During her first night there a man from the next cubicle down was wandering round the ward for a good hour, disturbing and distressing the other patients, then someones heart monitor kept going off for up to 30 minutes at a time without a nurse in sight. The following day at meal times an elderly lady who had suffered a fall and quite badly damaged one of her arms was left to try and feed herself, when they came to take away the food at the end of meal times, she wasn't offered help, she was chastised for not eating her food and left to go without. My partner was seen by what I can only assume was an imposter Dr as they not only pronounced a condition my wife suffers from completely wrong, they also didn't have a clue as to what it was. Several blood tests and lots more doctors later, no-one seemed to be able to figure out what was happening so decided to put my partner into isolation. She wasn't allowed to leave her room to use the toilet so they set her up with a commode. From the time I left that evening till lunch time the following day, not one person came to take away the toilet to be cleaned. We pressed the emergency buzzer in the room, it was going off for 30 minutes before someone came to see what was wrong. We told them that we needed clean trays for the commode and the used ones needed taking away, the nurse said that she would send someone in right away. 20 minutes later....nothing. So I took it upon myself to remove the used trays, walking with a pot full of urine I placed it upon the nurses station between 2 nurses deep in conversation about what they had done the night before! This is absolutely disgusting treatment.
