"Waiting for a breast clinic appointment."

I visited my GP in early June with a lump in my breast. She made an urgent referral, which means you should be seen within 10 days, 4 weeks at the most. My appointment has been made for the end of July, that is over 7 weeks after the referral was made. This is completely unacceptable and I cannot cope with waiting this long to be seen when I may have a life threatening illness. I feel massively let down by the NHS.
