About: Hexham General Hospital

I am absolutely astounded that this hospital is part of the NHS, I am on day 9 post full knee replacement and cannot praise the hospital and staff enough , I felt like I was treated as a private paying patient, I have travelled up and down the country visiting numerous hospitals over the years with my daughter who has severe medical problems and had sadly lost a lot of faith in the NHS , until I opted to have my op at Hexham on ward 3 that has all changed , the staff and the system to which the ward is managed should be made as an example to other hospitals as to how patients should be treated , well done to all and thank you for the most brilliant , efficient nurses I have ever met.
