"Life-saving angiography"

About: The London Chest Hospital

It was great to see the operating team were waiting for me in the corridor. immediately after the arrival I found myself in the Cath-Lab where the angiography/plasty was performed. It was life-saving and extremely successful. The CCU personnel were truly excellent. The staff gave me the impression that the NHS has a lot to offer . I thank them and wish them both to have their dreams come true. However, during the procedure I noticed that one of the punctured arteries( Radial) was left unattended hence bled extensively during and after the procedure. And equally importantly the central line trough which vital medicines could reach my body, came off. As a result they had to wait until the procedure had finished to apply another one and then I was given morphine to bear the pain.

Thank you for taking the time to give us your feedback on our cardiology services and on the treatment that you received. We are very sorry for the problems that you had during your procedure and we thank you for your kind words. We have now passed your feedback onto the team at The London Chest. Many thanks, Barts Health NHS Trust
