"Emergency admission 2nd June 2014"

About: The Maidstone Hospital

Thank you for all the support received when my husband, (79) collapsed and became unconscious at home early in the morning last Monday. The paramedics arrived promptly The crew got him round and took him to hospital very quickly. He was very confused but the staff on duty were fantastic. and after an initial assessment, he was transferred to the AMEU, where all of the staff were really lovely and so professional. (I was very touched that the lady with the tea trolley even offered me a cup of tea as well as my husband and the paramedic that bought him in even popped in to check he was getting better). My husband was transferred to the Culpepper ward, in the cardiac unit which we both cannot praise highly enough....the ward was immaculately clean...the staff were so kind to all the patients and their medical care was fantastic. Everyone was working so hard all the time and it was lovely to see how the young students being trained were all encouraged to be involved and talk to the patients. . My husband now has a pacemaker and has been discharged... Although it has been a traumatic week for him, everyone truly cared...Thank you so much

Dear Anne, thank you for taking the time to leave feedback on the service you and your husband received when attending Maidstone Hospital recently. We were delighted to learn that you were so pleased with the care and treatment he received and we hope that his is recovering well from this episode. We have passed your kind comments on to the teams involved. Kind regards, The PALS Team.
