"Appointment and communications"

About: Wycombe Hospital

High Wycombe often fails to inform one of an appointment, presumably because they fail to post a letter or use an inadequate postal service. It is very unfortunate that they cannot save money by using email, faster and more reliable than post for those patients able to use email. A more minor complaint but still serious is that they sometimes fail to explain the result of a day surgery operation, particularly towards the end of the afternoon.

Dear Mr Barnard, Thank you for taking the time to comment and we are so sorry to read about the difficulties around appointments. Although we value your comment here, if you haven't done so already, please can you also contact our Patient Advice and Liaison Service (PALS)? This service is dedicated to hearing patient opinions and they will be able to discuss this matter in more detail with you to ensure that we take the best action required. PALS are contactable on 01296 316042 or pals@buckshealthcare.nhs.uk Kind regards Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust
