"Great staff, poor Web site, poor signage"

About: Shotley Bridge Hospital Site

The staff were really good. Friendly helpful, caring. I could not have asked for better. Before going, I tried to find where my department was, but it doesn't exist. I had to go to the "Medical Day Unit" but it isn't mentioned on the Web site, it isn't on the pdf download, and when I got there it wasn't on any of the signage. I cannot even select it as it is not in the drop down list below. The sign from the main road is tiny. I was glad of satnav. The car parking sign was hidden by foliage until last minute, and thereafter I only found the overflow car park. I couldn't check beforehand as Google Street view stops at the junction of the road leading up to the hospital - please invite them in. A simple thing. The written instructions could have been more helpful by stating a department that is on the signage. Instead of telling me my named nurse will be with me throughout (not named in the letter) , tell me that I will be allocated a named nurse on arrival who will be with me throughout.
