"i went in for a consultation in ..."

About: Basingstoke and North Hampshire Hospital

(as the patient),

What I liked

i went in for a consultation in the outpatients department to speak about my minor operation that i needed i was meant to be seen at 11.30 but i went a bit early and was actualy seen at 11.20. although when i went in to see the doctor i was pressured into having the operation there and then and when i tried explaining that i couldnt have it done that day as i had arranged to go back to work she wasnt interested and said if i didnt have it done there and then then i couldnt have it done at all!! i was so angry and upset!! i told her i was on my own and had nobody with me and she didnt care. then after she had done the op she wouldnt let me leave until i had someone there incase i reacted to the anasthetic. wheres the logic???? i will never have an op there again!!!!!

What could be improved

the nurse didnt need to be so rude to me, she was very abrupt and actually scared me a bit. also in the middle of the operation i asked ' so how many stitches will i have?' and her reply was 'you don't need to know it doesn't matter'

Anything else?

will never go there again
