What I liked
I loved everything about this hospital, and I have visited quite a few. I absolutely loathe my local hospital, Stepping Hill, and would drive the extra 20mins to get to Wythenshawe if the problem is not life threatening. Stepping Hill could not deal with my son's problem and it was them that sent us Wythenshawe. Thanks -you did something right for once.
What could be improved
The team carrying out my son's minor op did not complete any theatre notes which wasted time as the nurses tried to find out exactly what happened and what care he needed etc. The doctor concerned visited him 3 times subsequently.
Anything else?
A fine hospital that I would recommend unreservedly. The ward staff were wonderful. We had a named nurse, who we actually saw regularly: a parent support worker: 2 teachers and play workers to keep the children busy.
