"Delays and rush to discharge"

Had an outpatients appointment two days after being discharged. My appointment same time as someone else's - had to sit and wait from 2.45 until 4.55 to see someone for 7 minutes - supposed to be a 3 o'clock appointment. Couldn't leave as no idea when I would be called. 3 days later, readmitted with suspected septicemia! Lack of communication - happy to make the patient wait in outpatients, but can't wait to get rid of them on the ward.
